Introducing our NEW SaFe ToP Design

After upgrading the pupils chair in 2005 to become market leader, with all round "corners" and roll fronted seats for more comfort and better posture, we now have turned our attention to the pupils table and are delighted to introduce our new SaFe ToP with 45mm radius round "corners" and 25mm thickness for extra safety and stability. Also note, our table has passed performance tests of IS. 140: Part 3: as required by Department of Education for use in Primary Schools.

This improvement, sparked by comments from teachers, considerably reduces the risk of nasty accidents to the children and indeed to the teacher, most of who at some stage have bumped into the corner of a table and possibly gained a nasty bruise to their thigh for good measure.

This new design more than satisfies the Health and Safety requirements and without doubt is well worth the extra cost involved to keep everyone safe. Over the lifetime of the table, if only one accident can be avoided, the extra spent would be both justified and insignificant.

To complete the safety aspect we have also introduced 32mm round tube legs on frames and so eliminated the 25mm square tube with its sharp corners.

Did we forget about the teachers? Oh no, because of our SaFe ToP is now fitted to the Teachers and Principals desks and Teachers Room Table.
